Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support easy-to-use React and TypeScript applications
  • Set standards for accessibility and design system usage
  • Make technology decisions that support business needs while maintaining security, privacy, and quality
  • Enhance existing systems with new functionality and improve performance, stability, quality, and security
  • Improve code quality, make quality-of-life enhancements, and limit technical debt
  • Maintain a user-centric mindset and develop deep user empathy
  • Collaborate with design, product, machine learning, infrastructure, and other disciplines
  • Mentor and learn from other engineers

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications
  • 5+ years of experience with React
  • Experience independently delivering a small web application or a complete feature in a larger web application
  • Experience or interest in a mobile technology stack including React, TypeScript, and potentially Electron
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Comfort working across domains and languages with curiosity to experiment and learn
  • Deep expertise using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows
  • Bonus experience with web audio playback, audio recording, file encryption, or online versus offline mode support
