Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, measure, and maintain production services end to end.
  • Build and evolve shared framework code for a large-scale real-time recommendation system.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and logging to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.
  • Develop and scale distributed infrastructure, including recommendation servers, cluster management, Kafka consumers, and metrics pipelines.
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering teams and use Gen-AI tools to improve development velocity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of programming experience in Java or an equivalent object-oriented language.
  • Experience developing large-scale distributed systems and understanding production system infrastructure.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and concurrent or multithreaded programming.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and high proficiency in Linux.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with big data tools and knowledge of data mining or machine learning are bonuses.
