Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end user journeys.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks, utilities, and test infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain UI automation using Playwright or a similar browser automation framework.
  • Write automated API and integration tests for functional behavior, errors, and edge cases.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve execution speed, reliability, and feedback time.
  • Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and improve automation stability.
  • Test AI-powered workflows, including dynamic UI behavior, generated outputs, failure scenarios, and regression risks.
  • Own quality for assigned features from requirements analysis through release validation.
  • Track automation coverage, defect trends, and test reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to improve testability and prevent defects.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or SDET roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or an equivalent browser automation framework.
  • Understanding of API testing, REST, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and integration testing.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution.
  • Knowledge of test design, boundary-value analysis, negative testing, and risk-based testing.
  • Experience building or extending reusable automation frameworks.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using logs, traces, and network requests.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and product managers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and clear communication.
  • Preferred experience includes testing AI-powered applications or LLM-based features, AI coding assistants, agent-based testing, mobile automation, performance testing, observability tools, Docker, cloud environments, or distributed systems.
