Software Development Engineer in Test in USA

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and software development engineers to establish test plans, identify coverage gaps, and improve software testability.
  • Create functional, performance, scalability, durability, integration, and regression tests for software components and APIs.
  • Design, develop, deploy, schedule, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
  • Manage test results dashboards and communicate test results clearly.
  • Review, refactor, document, and troubleshoot test code and frameworks.
  • Measure test coverage, analyze continuous integration results, repair test failures, and advise on test optimization.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience with one or more of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or DOM manipulation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Git Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Applied knowledge of testing principles, including designing and executing test cases.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Vitest, Playwright, or Puppeteer.
  • Software development skills in design, refactoring, and authoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating and resolving software issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • A master's degree, experience on a large software development project, and GIS or Esri software knowledge are recommended qualifications.

Salary: $79k - $133k/yr
