Software Development Engineer in Test in USA

  • Reston, VA

Responsibilities

  • Build test infrastructure, including test harnesses and mocking infrastructure.
  • Design and implement automated and manual testing strategies.
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve software quality and reliability across Java, Rust, and TypeScript-based applications.
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and end users to translate technical concepts into usable software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience.
  • Experience building test infrastructure, including mocking and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with software testing and test harness development.
  • Software development experience in Java, Rust, or TypeScript/React.
  • Familiarity with full-stack web application development in any frameworks or languages.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to access classified information are required.
  • An active DoD security clearance and experience using ADO, GitLab, or similar CI/CD tools are desired.
