Responsibilities

  • Build and ship full-stack product features from design through implementation, testing, and rollout, with a strong backend focus.
  • Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python and/or Go.
  • Build data and state-handling systems, including data collection, scheduled jobs, background jobs, and workflow processes.
  • Improve reliability by fixing bugs, addressing bottlenecks, adding tests and monitoring, and debugging production issues.
  • Collaborate with Product, security, customer-facing, and engineering teams on upstream and downstream system integration.
  • Use AI development tools for code, tests, documentation, and experiments while validating generated output.
  • Identify workflow, tooling, or product gaps and build small solutions or prototypes.
  • Document work through runbooks, code reviews, project write-ups, and technical communication.

Requirements

  • About 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Full-stack experience including at least one UI project and one backend project, with essential backend experience.
  • Experience developing backend systems in Python and/or Go and designing REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker; and exposure to Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems fundamentals, performance, and clean, testable code.
  • Awareness of production observability and reliability practices, including logging, metrics, alerting, and live-system debugging.
  • Working fluency with AI development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude.
  • Evidence of initiative, ownership, project delivery, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred experience with Airflow, Temporal, DAG-based pipelines, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, or React.
