Software Engineer 2 - Development Infrastructure in USA

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-component Development Infrastructure features and systems.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and engineering tools that improve software delivery reliability and efficiency.
  • Design and implement enhancements to GitHub Actions infrastructure, Docker base images, and build and deployment pipelines.
  • Use AI tools to compare solutions and adapt generated changes to production requirements and long-term maintainability.
  • Participate in on-call and incident response, resolving complex issues and addressing systemic reliability gaps.
  • Contribute to planning, code reviews, standups, and other software development lifecycle activities.
  • Coach other engineers on the team.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and/or platforms.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Python.
  • Experience delivering complex projects end-to-end in a cloud-native environment.
  • Experience building or operating production CI/CD, build, or deployment systems, including on-call and incident response.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and microservices.
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools in day-to-day engineering workflows.
  • Preferred experience creating and maintaining CI/CD systems and using GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred experience with Go and Bazel.
  • Preferred experience with engineering effectiveness, engineering productivity, development experience, or development infrastructure teams.
  • Preferred knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Preferred familiarity with generative AI tools such as Codex and Claude and experience driving AI-first workflows and solutions.

Benefits

  • Base salary ranges from $149,200 to $214,500 USD.
  • May be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary: $149k - $215k/yr
