Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and construct key software modules for a multi-cloud Database-as-a-Service platform.
  • Develop scalable capabilities for database provisioning, high availability, patching, scaling, upgrades, backup, recovery, and cloning.
  • Design solutions across REST APIs, workflow management, orchestration, and autonomous database management.
  • Create intuitive capabilities based on developer and customer use cases across diverse database platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, product management, and technical documentation teams to deliver production software.
  • Drive initiatives across the software development lifecycle from concept through production release.
  • Apply systematic design principles to build robust, performant, and scalable architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications.
  • Enterprise software development experience in REST APIs including OpenAPIs, workflow management, orchestration, or autonomous database management.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of Go, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with object-oriented concepts and design.
  • Ability to use AI to write efficient, high-quality code and conduct effective code reviews.
  • Practical experience with database management software is preferred.

Salary: $147k - $294k/yr
