Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, secure, test, and monitor solutions that communicate with more than 2 million Automox agents.
Extend and enhance event-driven services supporting the Automox platform and endpoint software.
Build and scale microservice architectures, event-ingestion platforms, real-time messaging systems, and non-relational databases.
Ship backend and frontend features using TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework.
Perform performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, automation, and service-health work.
Evaluate technical options, make recommendations, collaborate cross-functionally, and operate services through their failure modes, costs, and operational behavior.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in a high-availability SaaS environment.
Programming experience in Go or Java is preferred, with versatility across multiple programming languages accepted.
Professional experience shipping frontend features with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework.
Experience building production applications in AWS cloud environments with strong security practices.
Experience scaling microservices, large-scale event-ingestion platforms, websockets, real-time messaging systems such as Kafka or MQTT, and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.
Experience with desktop or cross-platform applications, endpoint agents or system services on macOS, Windows, or Linux, and automated end-to-end testing with Python or Playwright is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, technical judgment, and data-driven development skills are required.

Fully remote work at a fully distributed company; Automox currently does not hire in California or the New York metro area.
Base salary range is $122,000–$160,000 USD, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.
