Responsibilities

Plan, build, test, review, and support scalable software solutions across the software development lifecycle.
Develop backend services using .NET ecosystems and frontend applications using Angular or React.
Build and enhance event-driven and distributed systems using patterns such as CQRS, event sourcing, and message queues.
Apply performance tuning at both application and database levels.
Collaborate with the ACIL tribe and wider carsales organization while contributing to team culture and knowledge sharing.
Use AWS, monitoring, logging, observability, and DevOps practices to support reliable software delivery.

Requirements

Strong experience with backend development in .NET ecosystems.
Strong frontend development experience with Angular or React.
Proven experience building event-driven and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform.
Applied knowledge of domain-driven design, test-driven development, and modern engineering practices.
Experience with application and database performance tuning.
Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Knowledge of applied AI tooling and agentic systems for productivity and solution design.
Successful candidates must complete a National Police Record check and have full-time Australian working rights.
