Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain features across all layers of Windows desktop applications with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Diagnose and fix defects throughout the codebase, including customer-reported issues escalated by Support.
  • Contribute to internal tooling, build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and test infrastructure.
  • Participate in application modernization, including new architecture and user interface frameworks.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
  • Share build pipeline and bug-triage responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, QA, Product Management, and domain experts to deliver solutions.
  • Use modern tools, including AI coding assistants, responsibly to improve engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of professional software development experience; internships, co-ops, and substantial academic or personal projects count.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, preferably C#; VB.NET, Java, or C++ are also accepted.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Working knowledge of version control, including branching, commits, and merging.
  • Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with .NET and Visual Studio, user interface development, unit testing or automated testing, Python or PowerShell, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Bitbucket, JSON or XML serialization, multithreading, and AI coding assistants.
