Responsibilities

Build and ship software for Desmos math tools across 2D and 3D graphing, geometry, Desmos Notebook, and related products.
Contribute to user-facing features in collaboration with product, design, support, and business teams.
Participate in scoping, design, architecture, code review, testing, automation, monitoring, pair programming, and deployment.
Become an independent contributor across several areas of the codebase while improving code consistency, cleanliness, and robustness.
Improve internal tooling, share technical learnings, lead core initiatives over time, and help coach developing engineers.

Requirements

Be an early-career software engineer who is curious, collaborative, generous, eager to grow, and enthusiastic about building polished products.
Bring an example of something personally built, such as an app, website, physical project, or Desmos graph.
Be prepared to discuss design decisions, alternatives, and trade-offs from a project built individually or with a team.
Be able to describe the technology stack currently used and areas where further skills are desired.
Demonstrate interest in mathematics and helping people learn, grow, and communicate with math.
