Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs connecting frontend applications with backend services.
Develop and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions for performance, reliability, and data integrity.
Deploy backend applications across development, staging, and production environments and support reliable releases.
Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and improve application response times, scalability, and resource utilization.
Implement security practices including input validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
Monitor deployed applications, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes and improvements.
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams on end-to-end software solutions.

Requirements

3–5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
Proficiency in MySQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Experience building and deploying scalable software applications in production environments.
Understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, error handling, application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is beneficial.
Familiarity with Docker, automated deployment processes, Redis, message queues, microservices architecture, or distributed systems is beneficial.
