Software Engineer: Backend in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Architect REST and gRPC APIs with stable, scalable server-side implementations and asynchronous code.
  • Design and build large-scale infrastructure for crawling, ranking, and retrieval systems.
  • Implement secure and compliant software for handling sensitive data.
  • Write readable, maintainable, robust, and well-tested code.
  • Improve code quality, reliability, and product velocity while collaborating with peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with a strongly typed language such as Rust, C++, or Java.
  • At least 4 years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • Preferred experience with protocol buffers, gRPC, MapReduce, or other massively distributed parallel computation frameworks.
  • Preferred experience as an early engineer at a hyper-growth startup or in a world-class product organization.
