Software Engineer, Data in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP services such as Dataform, BigQuery, and Airflow.
  • Optimize data processing and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Write data quality tests and implement complex data models and ETL processes.
  • Develop reusable data components and shared libraries.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.
  • Use AI tools and development assistance to improve workflow efficiency and code quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with GCP data services including BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for data processing and optimizing pipeline performance and cost.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Strong understanding of GCP or other hyperscalers such as AWS and Azure.
  • Programming experience in Python, SQL, or TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of data optimization and applying data to business problems.
  • Preferred experience with BI dashboard tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Preferred experience with Machine Learning or Data Science concepts, AI automation, and Data & AI Governance.

Salary: $146k - $219k/yr
