Responsibilities

Drive the vision and strategy for data platform frameworks.
Scale analytical platforms to support increasing data volumes and use cases.
Build and operate high-scale systems focused on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders building solutions on the platform.
Foster a positive and supportive work culture while helping develop other team members.

Requirements

B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
At least 2 years of industry software engineering experience.
Proficiency using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor throughout design, code generation, testing, monitoring, and release activities.
Experience with big data domains including streaming, batch processing, and data lake OLAP at scale.
Experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Flink, Spark, Cassandra, ClickHouse, and Iceberg.
Technical experience building big data infrastructure and governance, with bonus experience contributing to open-source technologies such as DataHub, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Flink.
Experience improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of data platforms.
Located in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York.

Benefits

National base salary range of $130,600-$192,000 USD, plus opportunities for equity grants.
