Responsibilities

Develop highly scalable and resilient backend systems for Roblox’s creator economy.
Build and maintain systems supporting purchasing, pricing, and creator payouts.
Help shape the future direction of Roblox’s virtual economy.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to identify and introduce new economic models.
Use quality metrics and monitoring to support production system health.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in software engineering or computer science.
Passion for highly available, large-scale backend systems in production.
Knowledge of REST, API design patterns, scalable containerized systems, and microservices.
Data-driven focus on quality metrics and monitoring.

San Mateo office roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
Annual base salary range is $153,120–$196,750 USD for roles based at headquarters in San Mateo, California.

Salary: $153k - $197k/yr
