Software Engineer, Engine Systems in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain predominantly C++ systems that report stability, reliability, and performance signals across Roblox clients.
  • Write production-quality, well-instrumented code across mobile, desktop, and major console platforms.
  • Develop tools and signals that help engineers detect, understand, and resolve user-experience disruptions.
  • Contribute to technical decisions and improve diagnostic systems based on engineering-team feedback.
  • Support reliable weekly binary updates at global scale while accounting for hardware and vendor-specific limitations.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong ownership of complex technical systems.
  • Working knowledge of systems-level programming languages such as C++, C#, Objective-C, Rust, or similar.
  • Curiosity and willingness to work across a broad range of systems and understand the engine end to end.
  • A long-term mindset focused on the lasting impact of work on teams and users.

Benefits

  • Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday unless otherwise noted.

Salary: $169k - $212k/yr
