Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, product management, and external partners to identify and implement GoFundMe Platform improvements and features.
  • Write well-documented, tested, and operable code while taking ownership of task and project quality.
  • Complete user stories and other sprint work within the team’s Agile development process.
  • Contribute to frontend applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Jest.
  • Develop or contribute to mobile-focused solutions for iOS and/or Android.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency, processes, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in a four-year Computer Science degree program, attend a bootcamp, or have relevant industry experience.
  • Have coding experience with technologies such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and/or JavaScript.
  • Be familiar with TypeScript and React.
  • Be comfortable writing mobile-focused code; iOS or Android development experience is preferred.
  • For iOS, experience with SwiftUI, Swift, and Combine is preferred; GraphQL familiarity is a plus.
  • For Android, experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is preferred; GraphQL familiarity is a plus.
  • Be able to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
  • Be familiar with Git and Bitbucket.
  • Be comfortable working in a remote and distributed environment and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Next.js, PHP, Laravel, state management technologies, Module Federation, Micro Frontends, PCI compliance, and eCommerce platforms.
