Responsibilities

  • Own software solutions deployed to customers and frontend capabilities supporting end-to-end mission systems.
  • Build operator displays, control interfaces, mission-planning workflows, and other real-time user interfaces for space operations.
  • Integrate legacy systems with new space systems and scale mission capabilities for different users and customers.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality while contributing quality code.
  • Triage issues, identify root causes, coordinate next steps, and partner with end-users to turn needs into features.
  • Develop elegant SaaS or on-premise solutions in a high-functioning, mini-startup environment.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • 4+ years of professional programming experience with relevant frontend JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with large enterprise applications, high-availability requirements, and real-time user interfaces using reactive programming libraries such as RxJS.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
  • Ability to understand complex systems, solve technical problems with little oversight, communicate clearly, and create documentation and training materials.
  • Ability to empathize with end-users and balance user experience with engineering constraints.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience in hyper-growth startup environments, spacecraft software and operations, satellite mission autonomy, Kubernetes deployment tooling, space software standards, and modular software services development.

Salary: $129k - $171k/yr
