Responsibilities

Own small- to medium-sized projects across design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
Architect and implement scalable, reliable solutions across mobile and API platforms.
Build and operate backend services including REST and GraphQL APIs, asynchronous workers, and third-party integrations.
Write and review code, create design documentation, pair with engineers, and establish technical patterns.
Lead incremental legacy modernisation while maintaining system stability.
Improve test coverage, observability, dependency health, and production reliability.
Address issues from internal and customer channels and provide on-call support for maintained systems.
Work cross-functionally with Product and Design in an Agile delivery environment.

Requirements

Strong TypeScript experience across frontend and backend development.
Experience with React Native or React, with willingness to work in both.
Experience developing Node.js backends, including REST and GraphQL APIs.
Experience with MongoDB or other document databases, including query and index design.
Comfort with AWS dashboards, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure reasoning; CDK or EKS experience is a plus.
Solid unit, integration, and end-to-end testing discipline in CI pipelines.
Familiarity with asynchronous messaging patterns such as SQS and event-driven architecture.
Familiarity with application security practices such as OWASP.
AWS or another cloud platform certification is listed as a qualification.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and Agile delivery environments.
