Responsibilities

Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code for identity and security systems.
Design and improve MFA, 2FA, email verification, SSO, session management, device validation, and OAuth client provisioning experiences.
Implement identity and security protocols that protect Lyft users’ data at scale.
Maintain and optimize core identity microservices and organizational, multi-user, RBAC, family-account, and authorization systems.
Develop strategies to prevent fraud, phishing, social engineering, unauthorized driving, and abuse involving recycled phone numbers.
Partner with product, data science, analytics, operations, and engineering teams on identity and account-security initiatives.
Communicate effectively, unblock teams, obtain cross-functional buy-in, mentor engineers, and share knowledge through brown bags and technical talks.

Requirements

At least 3 years of engineering experience.
Experience working with stacks such as Python, Go, or Java.
Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
Ability to write clear, scalable design documentation.
Relevant experience mentoring engineers.
Ability to write clear, well-crafted, readable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
