Responsibilities

  • Architect and build mobile experiences used by millions of consumers.
  • Own feature development end-to-end from discovery and development through monitoring and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to align underlying systems with mobile product evolution.
  • Champion testing, monitoring, release strategy, and other technical best practices.
  • Mentor peers, review code, and contribute to Checkout.com’s long-term mobile technical vision.
  • Work with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable consumer experiences.

Requirements

  • Have a solid background in mobile technologies, including native Android and Kotlin.
  • Demonstrate experience building scalable, highly performant consumer experiences.
  • Have experience building and maintaining mobile apps or SDKs used by a large active user base.
  • Value developer experience, clear APIs, strong documentation, and reliability at scale.
  • Have excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Payments, fintech, security-sensitive domain, PCI compliance, tokenization, or secure data-handling experience is preferred.
