Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components for technical products, applications, and systems.
Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
Use software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering outcomes.
Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure software and system development.
Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Ability to code in one or more programming languages.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
Exposure to agile methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
Emerging knowledge of a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
