Software Engineer II, Fullstack in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Break larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely completion.
  • Partner with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, trade-offs, and product decisions.
  • Build and launch web applications, mobile applications, and APIs that interact with multiple software components.
  • Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
  • Navigate large codebases, debug code, write clear and tested code, conduct code reviews, and participate in interviewing and team development.

Requirements

  • At least 1.5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Experience shipping mobile applications using native or cross-platform technologies such as React Native.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Kotlin or Python.
  • Ability to translate business problems into extensible, well-tested solutions and collaborate effectively across engineering and stakeholder teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
