Responsibilities

Build new features for internal and external users and refactor existing functionality.
Develop across the full stack, including Python-based applications and user interfaces in collaboration with the frontend team.
Drive application-platform architecture in consideration of the team and future product roadmap.
Collaborate with product, design, machine learning, infrastructure, clinical, QA, and regulatory teams.
Maintain engineering standards through code review, testing, integration, and attention to code quality.
Contribute to the reliability, data integrity, compliance, validation, and inspection readiness of the clinical-trial SaaS platform.
Mentor teammates, share knowledge, and work autonomously on projects.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle using Python.
Experience designing and building Python-based applications with FastAPI or Django.
Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
Ability to collaborate with a distributed team and learn quickly in a complex environment.
Preferred: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Preferred: 2–4 years of full lifecycle development experience.
Preferred: AWS and cloud-platform experience, infrastructure-as-code knowledge, GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Preferred: demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

Hybrid position based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

Salary: $109k - $167k/yr
