Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship features for internal platforms supporting collaboration, productivity, and employee support.
  • Write, test, review, debug, and improve the reliability of software with guidance from an engineering mentor and team.
  • Prototype AI and agent-based workflows that reduce manual work for EA teams.
  • Integrate enterprise systems and APIs, including Google Workspace, Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, design reviews, and demos.
  • Present the internship project and its results to the Employee Experience Engineering team.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and return to the program after the internship.
  • Be an undergraduate student at an accredited degree program with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2027.
  • Have coursework or project experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or C++.
  • Have familiarity with Git and basic software testing.
  • Have exposure to web applications, APIs, or cloud services through coursework, projects, or a previous internship.
  • Interest or hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models, or agent frameworks is preferred.
  • Preferred candidates have built an end-to-end project such as a class project, hackathon entry, open-source contribution, or personal application.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the US during the internship.
