Responsibilities

Provide software engineering and development support for the Battlespace Awareness team’s core tools.
Build ML infrastructure for system-parameter optimization and performance-regression detection in CI.
Develop low-latency or real-time software, testing, and integration tests.
Apply machine learning techniques including hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML.
Use AI coding assistants such as Claude or Codex in day-to-day development workflows.

Requirements

Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
Experience with software testing, Robot Framework testing, and integration test development.
Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
Machine learning background in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML such as Bayesian ML.
Authorization to work in the United States and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include TypeScript or JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PyTorch, Python FastAPI, CesiumJS, faster-than-real-time simulation, Slackbot integrations, and a Master's, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional machine learning experience, especially model deployment.
