Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve software for autonomous maritime platforms, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command-and-control systems.
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize them for end-user value.
  • Design and implement scalable, reusable software components across Anduril product lines.
  • Develop software running on and off robotic platforms and iteratively enhance vehicle and mission software.
  • Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures and support full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Troubleshoot remotely deployed systems and support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and travel up to 20% to work with end-users or other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional experience working as a Software Engineer in one or more relevant domains or technologies.
  • Systems or application programming skills involving algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, and software design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work across the software stack and product lifecycle, from design and implementation through operation and sustainment.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience delivering military mission systems, writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, or Go, and building frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
  • Preferred: experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, high-assurance safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts.
