Responsibilities

Build and ship full-stack People and Talent products using front-end, back-end, and data pipeline technologies.
Design and build backend services, APIs, data structures, and integrations connecting hiring, HR, payroll, and performance data.
Create intuitive front ends for leaders, managers, and the People team.
Own features from scoping and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
Maintain engineering foundations including repositories, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
Build reliable, observable, performant, maintainable systems and treat people data with appropriate access, retention, and audit controls.
Collaborate with Talent and People product managers and help them become more technical.

Requirements

Around 4 to 5 years of software engineering experience.
Strong full-stack engineering skills, ideally with TypeScript and/or React on the front end and Python and/or Node on the back end.
Experience designing and building production-grade APIs, services, data structures, and data pipelines.
Hands-on experience managing repositories and pull requests, reviewing code, and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work across the stack with a focus on maintainability, reliability, observability, performance, and product adoption.
Bonus experience building with AI, including vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval systems.
Bonus exposure to n8n, Temporal, or Airflow.
Bonus experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, event-driven architecture, or HR, recruiting, payroll systems and their APIs.
Strong self-awareness, empathy, coachability, teaching ability, simplification skills, and collaboration with non-technical teams.
