Responsibilities

Design, implement, and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and benchmarking tests for web, mobile, and backend systems.
Build and maintain reproducible, scalable performance test suites using k6, Gatling, JMeter, Locust, and related frameworks.
Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks across frontend rendering, APIs, services, databases, caching layers, networking, and distributed systems.
Drive backend and infrastructure improvements focused on latency, throughput, resource utilization, and system efficiency.
Integrate performance testing and regression detection into CI/CD pipelines.
Design and build profiling, tracing, and telemetry solutions using observability tools.
Collaborate with engineering teams to solve performance challenges and provide hands-on technical guidance.
Lead adoption of performance engineering best practices across multiple teams.
Design experiments, analyze performance data, and provide measurable, actionable recommendations.

Requirements

At least 5 years of software engineering experience focused on performance optimization, scalability, or observability.
Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including caching, concurrency, queuing, and resource contention.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as k6, Gatling, JMeter, and Locust.
Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and frontend performance monitoring.
Experience working with metrics, logging, and tracing systems.
Strong debugging, profiling, and systems-level problem-solving skills.
Experience collaborating with frontend and backend engineering teams and supporting high-scale or consumer-facing platforms.

Benefits

Base salary range of $90,000-$120,000 per year.
