Responsibilities

  • Build and ship end-to-end Python backend features and services using Django, DRF, and FastAPI.
  • Design, test, deploy, monitor, and operate production components from specification through day-two support.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and maintain meaningful unit and integration test coverage.
  • Own instrumentation, alerts, on-call participation, incident triage, and root-cause fixes.
  • Deliver against sprint and quarterly commitments while estimating work and surfacing risks and blockers.
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based engineers, Product, and Security teams across time zones.
  • Build services that meet PCI, SOC2, and SOX requirements and grow into broader technical ownership.

Requirements

  • B.Tech degree.
  • 4–6 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production Python services on Linux with Django, DRF, or FastAPI.
  • Experience designing REST APIs against relational databases at production scale, including ORM and raw SQL usage.
  • Knowledge of Redis caching, Celery or equivalent queues, distributed systems, and concurrency fundamentals.
  • Experience with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure, plus logging, metrics, and tracing fundamentals.
  • Secure coding habits and awareness of PCI, SOC2, and SOX requirements.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and comfort collaborating across time zones.
  • Telephony experience with Asterisk, SIP, or FastAGI is a plus.
  • .NET or Java experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated growth in scope and ownership and receptiveness to feedback.
