Software Engineer, Streaming Platform in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate Streaming Platform components including Kafka, the streaming runtime, high-level APIs, and developer-facing abstractions.
  • Implement resilient, high-throughput stream processing systems with strong delivery, checkpointing, watermarking, and correctness guarantees.
  • Build scalable automation and control-plane systems for Kafka fleet management.
  • Partner with product engineers to improve ingestion pipelines and developer experience.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, failover, stability, and operational efficiency for real-time systems.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, data infrastructure, or real-time streaming.
  • Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience building and operating systems in cloud environments such as Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, or similar streaming technologies is preferred.

Salary: $155k - $190k/yr
