Responsibilities

Own the design, delivery, and long-term maintenance of large frontend and full-stack initiatives using React and TypeScript.
Set technical direction for frontend architecture and full-stack patterns while owning a 3–6 month roadmap.
Partner with product, design, and backend engineering teams to build scalable borrower-facing experiences.
Improve component and API design, state management, performance, testing, observability, and operational rigor.
Break down ambiguous problems into testable plans and use data to guide scope, performance, and user-experience tradeoffs.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
Contribute to the use of generative AI in engineering workflows and product capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, plus 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Deep proficiency building complex web applications with React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
Full-stack experience building backend services and APIs with a language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Node.js.
Experience independently leading large, business-critical frontend or full-stack projects in production.
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements and system boundaries.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for explaining technical tradeoffs and aligning product, design, and engineering partners.
Preferred experience as a frontend or full-stack technical lead for a product team or business-critical product surface.
Preferred experience building scaled consumer-facing products with attention to performance, accessibility, and user experience.
Fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated financial-product experience is preferred.
Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, feature flagging, generative AI, frontend tooling, testing frameworks, and CI/CD workflows is preferred.
