Software Engineering Intern, Android in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship new features for Ramp’s Android app.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the mobile codebase.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to bring new features and experiences to life.
  • Use customer feedback to continuously improve the product.
  • Contribute to engineering tools and processes that help the team move quickly and scale.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, with graduation planned for December 2027 or later.
  • Experience with Kotlin and/or Android development through internships, coursework, or personal projects.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of mobile development concepts.
  • Experience building a mobile app, feature, or relevant project.
  • Ability to turn product ideas into thoughtful engineering solutions.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: experience with Jetpack Compose, familiarity with mobile design patterns and best practices, and experience shipping an Android app or feature to real users.
