Software Engineering Intern, Summer 2027 in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support scalable APIs, backend services, and user interfaces connecting commercial partners with end-users.
  • Work with cloud technologies and microservices architectures to support high-volume transactions.
  • Participate in the full end-to-end software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with a distributed engineering team delivering drone logistics solutions.
  • Develop industry expertise in commercial drone delivery technology.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
  • Hands-on programming experience with one or more of Java, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and API development concepts.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, develop solutions with mentorship, and independently drive tasks to resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Benefits

  • 12-week paid summer internship.
  • Hybrid, in-person work arrangement based in Palo Alto, California.
  • Start dates in May or June.
  • Benefits are included with the stated internship compensation.

Salary: $128k - $135k/yr
