Responsibilities

Provide architectural direction and technical leadership for infrastructure security and security guardrails across engineering teams.
Design and build scalable shift-left security capabilities for source code, Infrastructure as Code, containers, deployment configurations, and runtime environments.
Develop policy-as-code and security enforcement frameworks across multiple gates and environments.
Correlate, prioritize, deduplicate, and enforce security findings based on risk, exploitability, exposure, and business impact.
Lead Kubernetes admission control and workload security architecture and implementation.
Define reliability, scalability, performance, observability, fault-tolerance, rollout, and operational-readiness strategies for security services.
Own security solutions through requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, production readiness, rollout, and ongoing operations.
Build and ship production-grade software, critically evaluate human- and AI-generated code, and use AI tools to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Mentor senior engineers, establish engineering standards, influence technical strategy, and drive multi-team initiatives through production.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or security engineering experience designing and delivering large-scale production systems.
Strong programming experience with one or more languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud security, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD, DevSecOps, deployment pipelines, security gates, policy enforcement, and automation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
Experience designing distributed, highly scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, configuration security, policy enforcement, workload security, identity and access controls, and risk assessment.
Preferred experience includes cloud-native security, security platforms, Kubernetes Admission Controllers, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, policy-as-code, IaC security, Checkov, container isolation, runtime security, vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, and automated remediation.
Experience designing developer-facing security products, correlating security signals, prioritizing risk, and implementing controls across source, IaC, CI/CD, deployment, admission, and runtime stages.
Ability to drive technical strategy across multiple engineering organizations, mentor senior engineers, communicate complex architectures, and lead ambiguous security initiatives to completion.
Demonstrated AI-first engineering approach, including experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor, advanced prompt engineering, and system-context development.
