Software Release Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across the Trip Optimizer and LOCOTROL product portfolios.
  • Support software release plans with engineering and project management teams.
  • Coordinate with Quality and Cyber Security to ensure SDLC compliance with applicable standards.
  • Collect and analyze performance metrics with software and validation engineers.
  • Design, implement, and test embedded software from requirements analysis through production and commercial deployment.
  • Develop product software in C and C++ for x86 and/or PowerPC microprocessors.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and drive performance and reliability enhancements.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and support software development.
  • Ensure application development meets product specification requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with x86 and/or PowerPC microprocessors in a C/C++ environment.
  • Experience using GitLab.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles and strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience with Coverity, VectorCAST, Jenkins, Perforce, IBM ELM Tool Suite, and Tollgate software development.
