Responsibilities

Review and analyze system and software requirements for testability.
Develop test plans and procedures under senior guidance.
Create and maintain test cases with complete requirements traceability.
Perform manual and automated testing of embedded software and hardware-based systems.
Document test results and produce comprehensive test reports.
Develop and maintain test automation solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
Support hardware/software integration activities and laboratory equipment setup, tracking, organization, and maintenance.
Follow engineering standards, safety requirements, company policies, and approved validation processes.
Communicate technical information with peers, developers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum of two years of experience in software testing, embedded systems, or a related field.
Understanding of electronic control systems and hardware/software integration.
Hands-on experience testing and debugging software and/or hardware-based systems.
Practical experience using Python for testing, debugging, or automation.
Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred: understanding of network communication and communication protocols.
Preferred: working knowledge of C and/or C++.
Preferred: experience with Linux operating systems.
Preferred: experience with application lifecycle management tools such as IBM ELM.
Preferred: understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum in an embedded systems environment.
Preferred: experience with geographically distributed teams and exposure to or interest in the rail and transportation industry.

Benefits

Base pay range of $62,100–$85,300 per year.
Health, welfare, and retirement benefits are available.
Annual bonus may be available if eligible.

Salary: $62k - $85k/yr
