Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer III in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor cloud engineers, review their work, and provide technical guidance on complex challenges.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable cloud engineering solutions.
  • Develop cloud governance strategies and maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and cloud management processes.
  • Prepare operating instructions and end-user training.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and architecture activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Poly.
  • 10+ years of relevant IT, systems, or infrastructure experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, building, supporting, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure in classified government environments.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or other classified AWS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Experience implementing IAM, SSO, federation, security baselines, and account-auditing policies.
  • Experience securing and hardening Linux or Windows cloud systems according to security and RMF requirements.
  • Scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or a similar language.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Salary: $220k - $290k/yr
