Responsibilities

Design and build cryptographic services and other security-critical infrastructure for Starlink.
Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
Maintain production systems and improve security through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Support the mission of providing secure and reliable internet to underserved communities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems.
Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols.
Ability to navigate large, complex, interactive systems and learn new technologies quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Benefits

Base salary range is $170,000.00-$265,000.00 for Level 3.
Eligible employees may receive company stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and access to an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401(k), disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, discounts, approximately three weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick leave.
