Responsibilities

  • Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade data, AI, and application systems.
  • Build reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion pipelines, and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Own architecture and design decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, adoption, and technical training.
  • Coordinate technical delivery with Databricks engineers, project managers, architects, customer teams, and support.
  • Embed with customer stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
  • Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence the Databricks product roadmap.
  • Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific technical and support issues.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems—AWS, Azure, or GCP—with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant production end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
  • Documentation and whiteboarding skills, enterprise client experience, and the ability to manage conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn technologies supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
  • Databricks Certification.
