Responsibilities

  • Build and modernize enterprise applications using .NET and React.
  • Design APIs and server-side services and integrate solutions across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform.
  • Lead architecture decisions, technology selection, development standards, tooling decisions, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive AI-enabled modernization initiatives and establish or mature CI/CD processes and deployment workflows.
  • Serve as a technical lead by conducting design and code reviews, setting coding standards, and mentoring developers.
  • Act as a primary stakeholder contact by triaging requests, gathering requirements, coordinating delivery teams, communicating status, and managing expectations.
  • Monitor intake volume, response times, and engagement metrics and improve intake, triage, routing, and delivery workflows.
  • Maintain customer and program records and build strong relationships with customers and internal delivery teams.
  • Support onsite federal-environment work in Washington, DC, including occasional Saturday deployment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Active Secret clearance and local availability in the DMV area with the ability to support onsite requirements in Washington, DC.
  • At least 8 years of progressive .NET development experience, including C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role.
  • Experience making and explaining architecture and technology selection decisions for enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency with React, including hooks, component design, state management, and responsive user interfaces.
  • Experience developing server-side applications or APIs with Node.js.
  • Professional experience using AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or OpenAI Codex.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience supporting or modernizing SharePoint-backed systems, including SharePoint Online and legacy SharePoint 2013 or newer.
  • Deep experience with MS SQL, Entity Framework, and API design and consumption.
  • Experience establishing or maturing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows and strong Git fundamentals.
  • Experience leading code reviews, setting coding standards, and mentoring developers.
  • Understanding of application security, Active Directory, and enterprise identity and access patterns.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Office applications including SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneDrive.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical recommendations to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
