Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based test automation frameworks for Spring Boot microservices.
Own API, integration, regression, contract, backend, and end-to-end automation testing strategies.
Validate microservices functionality, integrations, application behavior, resilience, error handling, asynchronous processing, and data integrity in Kubernetes environments.
Develop automated tests for application behavior before and after Kubernetes migration, including deployment verification and regional rollout scenarios.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
Perform database validation, API contract testing, smoke testing, and production-readiness assessments.
Collaborate with backend developers, technical leads, and platform teams to identify and resolve defects.
Drive automation coverage, test reliability, defect prevention, and continuous quality improvements.

Requirements

5–8 years of software testing experience with significant hands-on test automation development.
Strong Java programming experience for automation framework development.
Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Java microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed application testing.
Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, including deployment validation, pod logs, service connectivity, and troubleshooting.
Strong experience with REST Assured, JUnit or TestNG, Mockito, and API automation.
Working knowledge of CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Strong SQL skills and experience validating backend data.
Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and test reporting tools.
Understanding of microservices testing strategies, contract testing, integration testing, and regression automation.
Preferred experience with Cucumber/BDD, WireMock, Testcontainers, Pact, Kafka or event-driven testing, and performance tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Preferred experience in payments, digital transactions, financial-services testing, Kubernetes migrations, or regional application rollouts.
