Responsibilities

Define, develop, and evolve software using current development technologies and infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5–7 people and mentor team members.
Translate product requirements and vision into prioritized user stories and deliverables.
Collaborate with product line leaders and architects on multi-generation software technology plans.
Improve team efficiency through reuse, process improvements, and elimination of duplication.
Write software that meets standards, delivers required functionality, and supports performance goals.
Apply software development lifecycle, Lean/Agile/XP, continuous integration, security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and testing practices.
Analyze application performance and implement core data structures and algorithms.
Work cross-functionally, communicate technical information, and support knowledge transfer.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major with advanced experience for roles outside the USA.
Experience with Python, PySpark, AWS, Glue, PostgreSQL, Lambda, S3, SQL, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and Java.
Ability to break down problems, document problem statements, estimate efforts, and assess the impact of technology choices.
Ability to take ownership of tasks, deliver against commitments, and mentor or assist team members.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, team-building, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Awareness of competitors and industry trends and the ability to influence outcomes through clear two-way communication.
