Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack software solutions using Java and Python.
  • Lead architecture and implementation of distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Own feature delivery from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Build RESTful APIs, microservices, service integrations, and event-driven systems with strong service contracts and backward compatibility.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Improve coding standards, testing, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and developer productivity.
  • Identify bottlenecks, debug complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
  • Design monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and auto-scaling solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Influence technical direction and deliver high-impact outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise and working knowledge of Python.
  • Deep experience with Java ecosystems and frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot or equivalent.
  • Experience with full-stack development, including backend services and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, service-to-service integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle and/or NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
  • Hands-on experience generating test data and developing and executing unit tests.
  • Preferred: basic understanding of AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  • Experience with API design standards, OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning, contract-driven development, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
