Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the next generation of Truecaller's high-performance Android SDK.
  • Own features from development through delivery while maintaining a high-quality user experience.
  • Drive Android engineering best practices in architecture, modularization, testing, and engineering workflows.
  • Build clean, scalable, maintainable Android code using modern tools and libraries.
  • Design low-latency solutions and identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks.
  • Champion privacy, security, reliability, and responsible user-data interactions.
  • Collaborate with SDK partners, designers, product managers, and fellow engineers.
  • Use ad technology APIs, SDKs, and mediation platforms to optimize ad delivery and monetization.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application functionality, responsiveness, and resource usage.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of Android development experience.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, Coroutines, and dependency injection.
  • Hands-on experience with modern Android application development tools and libraries, application lifecycle concepts, asynchronous server communication, and UI components.
  • Knowledge of ad technology concepts, platforms, mediation, and bidding.
  • Ability to design and architect high-scale Android applications.
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric, and Espresso testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and gRPC.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactiveness, and commitment to shipping high-quality code.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose is preferred.
