Responsibilities

Build, own, and maintain large-scale distributed systems for listings, order fulfillment, settlements, and seller intelligence.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, front-end developers, product owners, and other cross-functional teams to develop scalable and resilient applications.
Establish and execute short- and long-term design and architectural roadmaps.
Improve the efficiency, flexibility, performance, availability, and customer trust of the business platform.
Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code using distributed-application development best practices.
Conduct testing and debugging to identify and resolve software issues.
Provide technical direction to junior engineers and continue innovating to support Rocket Growth programs.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience working with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems.
At least 6 years of professional coding experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, or C#.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile development environment while meeting tight deadlines.
Preferred experience delivering complex software systems to customers, communicating with users and senior management, influencing engineering best practices, working across front-end and back-end technologies, and delivering customer-focused solutions.
