Responsibilities

  • Drive the architecture and design of high-quality backend systems.
  • Define roadmaps and a vision for scalable and robust product growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build open and extensible platforms.
  • Align stakeholders and lead engineers on mission-critical projects.
  • Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.
  • Apply internal and industry best practices in system design.
  • Investigate and resolve critical system issues.
  • Work with globally distributed engineers on distributed systems, data processing pipelines, and high-reliability products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of software design and development experience with Java and Python.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
  • Experience with large-system architecture design and development.
  • Experience with cloud computing using AWS.
  • Experience developing container-based testing environments.
  • Experience with the Java, IntelliJ, and Spring environment.
