Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and development of a high-throughput, low-latency distributed streaming engine.
  • Design for 100k+ events per second, sub-second latency, and 5-6 nines availability across global clusters.
  • Optimize JVM applications, memory management, and network I/O for ultra-low latency and high concurrency.
  • Integrate AI/ML models into stream processing for predictive scaling, intelligent load balancing, and system automation.
  • Solve distributed consistency, exactly-once processing, backpressure, and fault-tolerance challenges.
  • Collaborate with domain teams to migrate legacy batch processes to real-time streaming architectures.
  • Build highly observable systems using distributed tracing and advanced telemetry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
  • At least 6 years of backend software development experience.
  • Expert-level experience with Cassandra, TiDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Experience building and maintaining highly available distributed systems in AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience with high-volume messaging systems such as Kafka or SQS.
  • Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of professional software development experience building global-scale real-time infrastructure.
  • Preferred qualifications include expertise in JVM optimization, distributed systems, consensus algorithms, fault-tolerant systems, AI/ML integration, distributed tracing, and advanced telemetry.
